ESDO is mainly working to boost the environmental alertness for the conservation of natural assortment and biological stability since it has begun its journey.
Since it has begun it’s journey we are dedicated to environmental conservation and human development. For conservation, ESDO has established Eco-village project, Green club movement and also introduced Eco-village tours to facilities for community based ecotourism. We are following some key steps to institute our projects in a successful way:

  • Awareness raising and advocacy
  • Community education
  • Skills development – theoretical and practical activities
  • Research and documentation
  • Policy intervention

ESDO’s Initiatives towards nature conservation:
1995: Start to shape up the first Eco-village in Bangladesh in the central region at Charhogla of Munshinganj district; with the view of to create community initiatives for conservation of biodiversity and protection of nature. Activities were environmental education, water & sanitation, organic agriculture, plantation, land and natural resources management, capacity building for alternative livelihood and rights. Now ESDO has established 4 eco-villages in the 4 regions of Bangladesh. More on eco-village
1998: ESDO Involved youth for conservation initiatives; as part of this program youth have been involved to protect old trees, Vulture conservation, See turtles and bird protection; Currently more than three thousand youth and children in 27 Green Club are involved the these conservationist efforts in all over the country; more on green club Some of the activities:
