Monowarul Islam
Head of Program 

Monowarul Islam has been trained in sociology and has worked in the development arena for 16 years. His key working areas are climate change and adaptation, disaster risk reduction (DRR), sustainable development, gender equity, eco-tourism, indigenous livelihood and culture, children and youth, sustainable biodiversity, water and food security, and capacity building & training.

Khalilur Rahman
Assistant Program Officer

 

Khalilur Rahman completed his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Geography and Env. Studies from the University of Chittagong. He has been working on diverse environmental and public health projects, i.e., eco-village, zero-waste village, eco-tourism, plastic & toxic-free world. He is focused on project development and implementation, event management, and media relations. He develops partnerships with communities and relevant stakeholders.

Maliha Hoque
Program Associate

 

Maliha Hoque completed her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Environmental Science and Management from North South University. She’s specialized in both the scientific and managerial aspects of environmental issues. She has been working on environmental policy advocacy and education, conservation biology, resource management, and implementing a toxic-free environment aligned with the SDGs. She’s a communication expert and tries to address environmental challenges faced by society.

Tanjima Hoque Trisha
Project Associate

Tanjima Hoque Trisha has completed her M.S. in Environmental Science from Bangladesh Agricultural University. She has led chemical projects, i.e., the phaseout of mercury in products, plastic waste, RDF, and PFAS in water. She is also responsible for implementing mercury-free dentistry in Bangladesh and Asia. Her interests focused on lead elimination initiatives, plastics and chemicals, plastics & climate change, zero-waste, gender and chemicals, PFAS in textiles, etc.

Jannatul Ferdous Jubly
Project Associate

Jubly completed her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Environmental Science from Jahangirnagar University. She has been planning and executing projects, enabling organizations to get funds, prioritize and optimize resource capacity, and manage interdependencies and conflicts. Her technical interests are GIS and RS, R Programming. She focuses on current environmental issues, such as plastic pollution, zero waste, climate change, disaster risk reduction (DRR), and sustainable development.

 

Mahmud Syed

Mahmud Syed
Research and Campaign Associate

Mahmud Syed obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Soil, Water and Environment from the University of Dhaka. Prior to joining ESDO, he served as a Research Assistant at Delta Study Center, Bangladesh. He possesses a strong dedication to realizing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and crafting a sustainable & environmentally-conscious better tomorrow for the forthcoming generations.

Shanon Iffat Alam
Research and Campaign Associate

Shanon Iffat Alam completed her B.Sc. in Environmental Science from Qatar University and M.Sc. in Environment Management from Independent University, Bangladesh. She is an enthusiastic Environmental Scientist who is willing to devote her career for the Green World. Apart from that, she has passion for baking, photography, singing and exploring!

Fullkumari Khisa
Junior Project Associate

Fullkumari Khisa completed her B.S.S. and M.S.S. in Sociology from the Bangladesh University of Professionals. Her hunger for making society better made her choose this subject. Her primary goal is to enhance human well-being and help meet all people’s fundamental and complex needs, focusing on those who are vulnerable, oppressed, and impoverished. She wants to help relieve people’s suffering, fight for social justice, and improve lives and communities.

Shamiya Sultana Badhon
Project Associate

Shamiya completed her MFA from Fine Arts Institute, Chittagong University. She is specialized in applied arts. This subject is related to practice design. Her key working areas are design, communication, illustration, photo editing and painting. She also loves gardening, reading and learn new different things.

Md. Asif Imran
Project Associate

Asif Imran completed his M.Sc. in Geography and Environmental Science from Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur. His area of interests are GIS and Remote Sensing, Plastic Pollution, Chemical Pollution, Climate Change, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Sustainable Development, Eco-Tourism, Sustainable Biodiversity, and Capacity Building & Training. 

Admin Support and Accounts Team

Md. Rashedul Islam
Account and Admin Associate

Rashedul completed his BBA and MBA in Accounting from the National University of Bangladesh. He’s responsible for implementing accounts-related tasks and supporting the program units. During his student life, he worked as an ESDO volunteer at Eco Village 3, Natore. Rashedul is interested in skill development training, elderly education, healthcare for the poor, and the Eco-Tourism expansion program.

Yeasmin Akter
Assistant Accounts and Admin 

Yeasmin Akter completed  her BBA in Finance from Mohammudpur Central University and College. She is responsible for implementation of assigned tasks and activities. 

Nahare Jannat Rima
Assistant Accounts and Admin 

Nahare Zannat Rima completed her BBA  And MBA in Finance from United International University. She is responsible for implementation of assigned tasks and activities.
