The study reveals that Bangladeshis throw away about 87,000 tonnes of\nsingle-use plastic every year, about 96% of which is from food and personal\ncare products packaging.&nbsp; About 35% of\nthe total of these wastes are sachets, which are completely non-recyclable. ESDO\nrecommends that Government of Bangladesh should take necessary steps to\nban Single Use Plastic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">ESDO Chairperson and former\nSecretary Syed Marghub Murshed, Prof. Md. Abul Hashem, former Chairperson and Professor of the\ndepartment of Chemistry, Jahangirnagar\nUniversity, Md.
