20, December, 2019: Dr. ShahriarHossain renowned ecologist,\njournalist and social justice advocate has reelected and re-appointed as a\nboard of Directors of the Pacific Basin Consortium a worldwide leading\nscientific organization working for Environment and Health for sustainable\nfuture. Dr. Shahriar will serve as board of Director for next four years\nstaring from 2020. He is the only Bangladeshi elected in the PBC board in 2016.\nHe is also founder and secretary general of Environment and Social Development\nOrganization-ESDO. As member of the PBC board of directors Dr. Shahriar will\nbe dedicated to promote, focus and implement technology and information\nexchange on environment and health issues in the Pacific Basin, specifically\nincluding but not limited to issues related to hazardous substances\/wastes, air\nand water pollution, climate change, and agricultural chemicals and the effects\nof these problems on human health; <\/p>\n\n\n\n
