Youth Awareness Campaign and Webinar on “Creative Art and Essay Writing Competition to Celebrate ILPPW – International Lead Poisoning Prevention Week 2020”
The 8th International Lead Poisoning Prevention Week (ILPPW) is going to take place on 25th – 31st October, 2020. This week of action is an initiative of the Global Alliance to Eliminate Lead Paint (the Lead Paint Alliance), which is jointly led by the UN Environment Programme and WHO. ESDO has been observing this week with GAELP since 2012.
Due to pandemic situation, ESDO has taken an alternative initiative to observe this day. ESDO started “Creative Writing and Art Competition” event where different institutional students (University, College and School) of different country registered and submitted their works!
To get to know their experience, ESDO organized a webinar on 27th October, 2020 from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm through Zoom. The Webinar was attended by Prof. Dr. Abul Hashem, Former professor and Chairman, Department of Chemistry, Jahangirnagar Universityand Senior Technical Advisor of ESDO; Ishtiaq Uddin Ahmad, Former Chief Conservator of Forest and Country Director, IUCN and Chief Technical Advisor, SUFAL Project; Syed Lutful Haque, Senior Artist and Journalist; Dr. Shahriar Hossain, Secretary General, ESDO; Siddika Sultana, Executive Director of ESDO along with competition participants and other ESDO team members.
Participants from all over the world shared their experiences and winner’s name was announced at the very end from both School and University level.
