ESDO, in collaboration with UNICEF Bangladesh, has organized a workshop to equip journalists with insights on lead pollution and poisoning. Experts in the development sector and academia discussed health, environmental, chemical, and journalistic processes and perspectives related to lead.

The speakers voiced that Lead poisoning is heavily underreported compared to the extent of damage it bears for humans, animals, and the environment.

The workshop was notable due to the spirited presence and perspectives shared by Syed Marghub Murshed, Chairperson of ESDO and Former Secretary, Government of Bangladesh, Md. Ziaul Haque (Additional Director General, DoE), Professor Dr. Abul Hashem, (Senior Technical Advisor, ESDO), Dr. Shahriar Hossain (Senior Technical Advisor,ESDO), Ms. Siddika Sultana (Executive Director, ESDO), Dr. Hasnain Ahmed (Health Officer, UNICEF), and Assistant Professor Preeti Kana Sikder (BUP).
