We are excited to share that Khulna University School has officially become a plastic-free campus! This achievement is a testament to the unwavering dedication and hard work of the students, teachers, and the ESDO team.
A special graduation ceremony was held today to commemorate this significant milestone. Organized in collaboration with ESDO, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DHSE), the Department of Environment (DoE), and Mutual Trust Bank PLC, the event celebrated the commitment and perseverance of all involved.
We were honored to welcome distinguished guests, including representatives from the Khulna Department of Environment and Khulna University. The event featured impressive 3D models created by students, addressing various environmental issues and presenting innovative solutions. Their efforts were recognized with awards, and the school was officially declared plastic-free by ESDO, MoEFCC, DHSE, DoE, and Mutual Trust Bank.
Khulna University School joins the ranks of other pioneering institutions such as Rangpur Zilla School, Rangpur Govt. Girls School, Govt. Coronation Secondary Girls’ School in Rangpur, and Lalmatia Girls’ High School and College in Dhaka, all of which have transitioned to plastic-free campuses.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed guests, dedicated teachers, and the relentless ESDO team for making this achievement possible. Congratulations to all the students and schools for their incredible accomplishments! Together, we are paving the way for a greener, plastic-free future.
