Workshop on “Engaging Future Professionals in Strengthening Lead Poisoning Policies and Occupational Health Standards in Bangladesh”

We are excited to share the successful completion of the workshop titled “Engaging Future Professionals in Strengthening Lead Poisoning Policies and Occupational Health Standards in Bangladesh,” organized by Southeast University in collaboration with ESDO and UNICEF Bangladesh. This insightful event was held on October 17, 2024, at Southeast University, Tejgaon, Dhaka. The workshop aimed to engage youth participants in discussions about the existing policies on lead poisoning, identify gaps, and gather recommendations for policy improvements.
The event featured an enthusiastic turnout from the university’s students, who actively participated in group discussions, shared their insights, and developed actionable recommendations.

Dr. Shahriar Hossain, Secretary General of ESDO, Siddika Sultana, Executive Director of ESDO, Hasnat M. Alamgir, PhD, Professor & Director of Research and Training at Southeast University, and Mohammad Nazmuddoza, Director of Career & Professional Development Services at Southeast University, served as esteemed panelists during the event. Their valuable input guided the discussions, ensuring a fruitful and impactful session for all participants.
