COP 30 Side Event: Low Methane in Action- Reducing Methane Emission Dhaka

Methane, a potent greenhouse gas, has long been at the sidelines of climate discussions. However, COP 30 stands out for its dedicated scope provided to this pressing threat.

This side event is tying into the LOW-Methane Partnership and pushing for replication of successful community-level methane reduction models. Participants spoke about the locally grounded realities and the initiatives that help countries implement the Global Methane Pledge, particularly by addressing organic waste management.

The event was moderated by Macarena G. Mavroski (GAIA). Dr. Shahriar Hossain was a Keynote Speaker and Md. Ziaul Haque (DoE), Special Guest. Henrique Bezerra (Global Methane Hub), Rap Villavicencio (Mother Earth Foundation) and Janek Vähk (Zero Waste Europe) joined in as Speakers.
