The Environment and Social Development Organization (ESDO) successfully organized a dynamic workshop titled “The Role of Bangladeshi Youth in the Global Plastic Treaty (INC-5.2)” on May 24, 2025, at its headquarters in Dhaka. The workshop aimed to inspire and empower Bangladeshi youth to actively participate in shaping both national and global policies surrounding plastic pollution. This initiative comes at a critical time as the world gears up for the fifth session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC-5.2) for a legally binding treaty on plastic pollution. Recognizing the pivotal role of youth in environmental transformation, ESDO convened passionate young leaders, environmental experts, and policymakers to foster meaningful dialogue and action.
