Asia Pacific Regional Preparatory Meeting for the 5th Meeting of the COP to the Minamata Convention on Mercury happened in Bangkok, Thailand from 5 to 6 September 2023. ESDO’s Executive Director, Siddika Sultana, and Research and Campaign Associate, Shanon Iffat Alam actively participated in the meeting. At this meeting, Siddika Sultana provided a statement on mercury amalgam pressing the phase-out of mercury use in dental treatment.
