Enforcement should be applicable to ban the use of lead in all types of paints. There is an urgent need for regulation, and environmental activists and experts urged the government in a high-level policy dialogue organized jointly by the Environment and Social Development Organization – ESDO, the Directorate General of Health Services – DGHS and the International Pollutants Elimination Network – IPEN today.
Syed Marghub Murshed, Former Secretary, of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and Chairperson of ESDO has kindly consented to grace the workshop as the Chair of Session, Md. Enamul Haque, Additional Secretary (Nursing & Midwifery Wing) Ministry of Health and Family Welfare will be the Special Guest, and Professor Dr. Mohammad Robed Amin, Line Director, Non-Communicable Disease Control Programme, DGHS, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare will be the Guest of Honor.
