ESDO’s Youth Empowerment Initiative: Building a Plastic-Free Campus Model

In a commendable stride towards environmental sustainability, the Environment and Social Development Organization-ESDO has embarked on an impactful journey to create a plastic-free campus model. Recognizing the transformative potential of the younger generation, ESDO has pioneered an innovative initiative in collaboration with Lalmatia Govt. Girls High School and College, Dhaka. Students were actively engaged in spreading awareness about plastic reduction and encouraging their peers to embrace sustainable practices. Creative and impactful posters were designed and displayed throughout the campus, delivering powerful messages about the consequences of plastic pollution. These visuals served as constant reminders to make conscious choices in daily activities. Students were encouraged to share these leaflets with other team members and guardians, promoting a collective commitment to the cause.
ESDO’s plastic-free campus model is not merely a project but a collective commitment to sustainability. By empowering the younger generation to take a leading role in environmental stewardship, ESDO envisions a future where conscious choices become second nature. The collaboration with Lalmatia Govt. Girls High School and College exemplifies the power of community-driven initiatives in fostering positive change.
