ESDO’s International Women’s Day Celebration – 2024

Environment and Social Development Organization – ESDO hosted a webinar titled “Chemical Exposure by Hazardous Waste Affecting Gender: Youth Involvement Initiatives and Further Thoughts” on 8 March, 2024 in honor of International Women’s Day. The webinar delved into the critical issue of the intricate relationship between chemical exposure and its impact on gender dynamics.

Tripti Arora, Coordinator of IPEN South Asia Hub, and Chalani Rubesinghe, Project Planning, and Management Officer at the Centre for Environmental Justice (CEJ), were present as speakers, shedding light on the country-situations regarding Chemical Exposure by Hazardous Waste. Their insights provided a comprehensive understanding of the multifaceted nature of this issue.

Ram Charitra Sah, Executive Director of CEPHED, also graced the event, sharing invaluable insights on this pertinent issue. His contributions offered valuable perspectives on addressing the pressing challenges related to chemical exposure and its repercussions on gender.

Representatives from BYEI, LP4Y, Bangladesh Girl Guides, and students from various schools actively participated in the webinar, contributing to the enriching discussion. 🌍
