Workplace wellness is not only a perk for large organizations anymore. Instead, it has become a standard practice in the workplace to support healthy behaviors in small and medium development organizations. Every organization is different and has to understand the changing needs of employees in order to create a healthy environment suited to their personal and professional growth. Also, to preserve and attract the most precious talents in the organization.
Employee wellness is important, particularly to the proper job environment at any organization. In this context, Environment and Social Development Organization (ESDO) organized a 3-day long “Wellness Workshop” from 26-28 November 2021 in association with Global Alliance for Incineration Alternatives (GAIA) which was held at CCDB Hope Foundation at Savar, Bangladesh.
A total of 20 members was present in the training workshop and actively took participation in 15 activities. The introductory day involves learning with recreational activities, the next day focused on contemplative practice and major programs of ESDO and the final day was on sports performance and gap identification of projects with suggestions.
As a result of the workshop, participants had a deeper grasp of all of the projects and their associated activities. The program also discussed effective time management and successful project implementation. The employees’ spontaneous participation was quite interactive. This aided employees in overcoming hurdles to gaining specific skill sets that would be beneficial to the company in the long run.
