ESDO’s Art Exhibition ‘Our Environmental: Beauty Fading in Pollution’ was officially inaugurated, on 14th June 2026, at Gallery Chitrak, opening doors to a world where art and environmentalism converge.
The event was graced by Md. Marghub Morshed, Chairman of ESDO, Former Secretary of Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change; Dr. Farhina Ahmed, Former Secretary of Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change; Ziaul Hoque, Additional Director General of the Department of Environment; Dr. Md. Azharul Islam Sheikh, Dean, Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka; Ishtiaq Uddin Ahmed, Senior Technical Advisor; Dr. Md. Abul Hashem, Senior Technical Advisor of ESDO; Dr. Shahriar Hossain, Secretary General of ESDO; Siddika Sultana, Executive Director of ESDO; and Md. Rozar Ibna Azad, Head of Communications, Mutual Trust Bank PLC, in celebration of World Environment Day 2026.
The art exhibition did not only give voice to environmentally conscious artists, but also gave the opportunity for all to connect with our cause through art in our segments ‘Creative Art Activity on Eco-Friendly Bags’, ‘Plastic Lifecycle through Traditional Bioscope’, ‘Talent Showcasing of Zero Waste Women Entrepreneurs’, ‘Shared Canvas Wall’ and ‘Plastic Detox Documentary Screening’.

With a grand inauguration and ribbon-cutting ceremony, the exhibition was opened to the respected guests, participants, art enthusiasts, and other visitors, to explore the different segments at every corner. As the art exhibition remains open till 16th June, it stands as a remarkable initiative in engaging artists and youth in raising environmental awareness with their talents and creativity.
