To commemorate World Environment Day 2026, the Environment and Social Development Organization (ESDO), in collaboration with the Department of Environment (DoE), the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), and Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), organized the national seminar “Zero Waste and Climate Change: Advancing Sustainable and Resilient Bangladesh” at the Department of Environment, Agargaon, Dhaka.
The event brought together government officials, policymakers, development partners, researchers, environmental experts, civil society organizations, youth representatives, local government authorities, and media professionals to discuss policy priorities and collaborative actions for advancing zero-waste systems, reducing methane emissions, promoting circular economy solutions, and strengthening Bangladesh’s climate resilience.
The dialogue reinforced the importance of evidence-based policies, community-led initiatives, and multi-stakeholder collaboration in supporting a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future for Bangladesh.
