The ANROEV 2026 Biennial Meeting, held from 4–6 September in Bangkok, brought together workers’ organizations, trade unions, researchers, and community advocates from different countries across Asia to share experiences on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), workers’ rights, environmental justice, and chemical safety.
Representing ESDO Bangladesh:
Siddika Sultana, Executive Director, shared a regional update on lead, mercury, and informal e-waste through community-based monitoring.
Dr. Foijun Nahar, Senior Research Associate, presented experiences of community-led air and water monitoring in the BRI-impacted Ashulia Bazar area.
The meeting provided a valuable space for learning, solidarity, and collective action to build safer workplaces and healthier communities across Asia.
